Few things in life are straightforward, and it seems I am turning 60 during incredibly difficult times for all (hostages, war, grief, etc.).

With that in mind, I’d love to make something constructive out of my celebration and so am turning to you - friends, family, colleagues, former students... anyone really.

As you may know, my mobility has been declining for quite a few years due to MS. On my last big birthday, I was walking confidently with one stick; now, outwardly things have changed quite a bit, and it is more of a shuffle with two sticks. But I am lucky to be able to get around just fine with the amazing help of my ATTO (mobility scooter).

Last month, by chance, I was with my students on a visit to ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, a rehabilitation village for children and adults living with and touched by disability near Ofakim, and was completely blown away by the unbelievable service, opportunity and dedication provided to disabled Israelis of every age, class, nationality, religion and background.

And so, I would love to use this birthday celebration and life moment to help aid the mobility of others by raising some funds to provide financial assistance to help buy mobility aids for people who need more than the government provides.
